Archived redo logfiles can only be applied to a COLD backup if you really force the situation. It can be done, but you have to know what you are doing to succeeed to "roll forward".

FWIW - IMO exp/imp is NOT a backup strategy. It is a mechanism to facilitate restoration when a small number of tables get clobbered. Received on Wed Jan 05 2005 - 17:14:29 CST
