These are the same versions I've installed. Well, maybe I up2date/yum them later, but let us verify some things.

Please post:

- echo $PATH
- file runInstaller (not the shell script ;))
- ldd -v runInstaller
- ls -lL /lib/tls/libc.so.6
- strings /lib/tls/libc.so.6|grep GLIBC_

Your strace.
execve("/mnt/MOVIES/oracle10g_old/Disk2/install/runInstaller", I thought we begin (runInstaller) with Disk1?
