Please DO NOT put any ATA Disks on a Dell/EMC Clariion.

I use a CX400 using both FC/SCSI and ATA disks. It is a nightmare. Even the 15K FC/SCSI disks are slower (Raid group consisting of 9 disks) than the internal SCSI disks of the host.

So I would say: Do not use any Dell/EMC array. And if you want to do a real performance test, switch the storage cache off.
