Well said. I found Sybrand Bakker's reply to be very irritating to say the least. It is that type of attitude that gives IT people a bad rep. Thanks for your follow-up on the solution. I got here because I had the same question. I'm just now playing with 10g myself after working with earlier versions for years and ran across a post on another site that showed how to install 10g on FC2. It used the same "hack" you had.
