Not with *your* current hardware, maybe. But in *general*, it *could* do, and it would be inappropriate to make a sweeping comment otherwise.

Also, when you made your initial comment, you didn't mention the fact that you were taking one factor out of dozens into account and completely ignoring the other factors. I think we should have been told, don't you?

I really hate this sort of crap. You have *no idea* about my clients, so don't pontificate about them. Maybe they had sufficient hard disk space to do RMAN backups to them for a day or two, but not sufficient cash in the budget to go split mirror. You don't know, do you? So why make comments like this?

You made a sweeping comment that is completely untrue *for me and my clients*. You made it without any proviso or caveat. You repeat it here.

What a waste of space.
