That is a link to a doc on metalink, Oracle's official support channel. It has links to docs and otn. otn needs free registration, metalink needs a support contract with Oracle. Look around on both, metalink especially often has specific methods for installation and configuring, beyond the installation and configuration manuals. Even some things on JBOSS.  

Get an experienced consultant in for multimaster replication. Your uptime requirements sound fairly strict, is that an arbitrary management decision or is it based on actual study of business requirements? Or does someone just want to know how much it would cost?
