There comes a point where "mature" is merely a synonym for "obsolete" (and I speak as someone past 40, so I know what I'm on about!).

I quite liked 2.1, but it's scarily out of date, and I would go 3 every time (bearing in mind that 4 is just around the corner). You say elsewhere that the installation onto 3 is a pain in the bottom... true, but only for 9i (which I realise is in the thread subject, so is probably quite important...). With 10g, it merely involves inserting CD and praying just gently to the Heavens. No major dramas at all.

So, yeah.... mature is as geriatrics does.
