It's not a "myth". It happens to be demonstrable fact that Don Burleson knows not very much about the latest versions of Oracle, but has a book publishing career to promote. That's fine, too, actually. He only ticks people off so much because he's the world's greatest claimer of expertise which he doesn't actually possess.

Well, alright then... just because it is demonstrably the case that Don knows remarkably little about Oracle, that doesn't mean you aren't able or entitled to form your own opinions about things. And those opinions are as valid as any other. So if Don does it for you, that's fine.

But since you are asking the group for their opinion, be prepared for rather different ones than yours.
