can't see table

I used TOAD to create tables space, data file, and a table in a database. I
was able to see data by 'select * from <table name>' but I not able to see
the table on Schema Browser. Also, when I tried to connect a Java
application to the table, I got the error message 'SQLException :ORA-00942:
table or view does not exist'. Please help!
