So, no bug fixes, but workarounds until 2006 or 2007, _if_ you have a support contract in place. Figure out the differences between ES, EMS and ECS and how they apply to your situation.

As far as all the opinions about whether it will stop your career dead in its tracks, they really only apply to the few places that only have a mature back-end Oracle db and nothing else. And even those places need someone boring to hang around until disaster strikes. Whether they admit it or not.
