Exactly 'Sun Cluster is not required' Moreover that is exactly what has been stated at Oracle Openworld: You don't need native cluster software.
Apart from that: Sun Cluster is a *shared nothing* cluster, it is basically failover. Failover will show as 'reconfiguration'
