Why not? CRS is required for RAC 10g installation. And how can i maintain Cluster Registry and voting device without Sun Cluster? Oracle says absolutely
nothing about these two products conflicting. On contrary, here is a quote from RAC Installation and Configuration Guide for all platforms, Solaris part:

Installation Type or Product - Real Application Clusters; Requirement - Sun Cluster 3.1.

Note: Sun Cluster is not required but will
integrate with Oracle Cluster Ready Services
                      if it is installed.
