It's not the size, it's yet another piece.

Which means that Operator and dba will have to detail RMAN skills, too, doesn't it?! I will not discuss what we shall do or not shall do as far as training is concerned because I am not deciding about it (read, I can't spend a cent by myself) and I guess we all converge in saying that training is important and has to be done. As things get more and more complex with 9i, 10g or 11h and "external" backup software won't work any more or won't be supported any more, we will reconsider things ... of course.
