Help!!! I can not drop the example schemas, that is, the schemas that
begin with "QS" (QS, QS_ADM, etc.). This is required to meet the
security needs of an external organization.
Here is what I have tried:
- 'drop user cascade' statement did not work even after unlocking the
accounts. Received 'end-of-file communications channel' error from
Oracle and then was disconnected.
- Tried building my database instance with a template and in the
template set 'Example Schemas' to 'false'. This did not work; the
'QS' schemas were still created.
- Could not delete the schemas with the Enterprise manager console
even after unlocking the accounts.
- Could not determine the passwords for any of these accounts. For
example I see in lots of places that QS_ADM account has a password of
QS_ADM, but this did not work. Whem I looked at the schema creation
scripts in the Oracle 'demo' directory, appears that all of the 'QS'
schemas have the same password. But what is it?
