Yes, it's 2^32. I had the 2^(32-1) for signed integers stuck in my mind, but so far it's really rare to need a negative memory address. (And yes, there are other memory references in my post that are out accordingly.)

And, to Jonathan, yes - for most *nix the epoch is 00:00:00 GMT, January 1, 1970, not 1972. (And for VMS, it's 00:00:00 of November 17, 1858 ... )
