SQL Profiles in 10g

Hello

I'm testing SQL profiles on a 10g Enterprise Edition 10.1.0.3.0 running on SLES8-SP3.
All tests are performed in SQL*Plus via the PL/SQL API, i.e. I use no Grid/Database Control for them.

When a SQL profile is generated and I accept it, everything works fine.

But, for a specific query, no SQL profile is proposed even if cardinality estimations are bad. Unfortunately I didn't find the possibility to force DBMS_SQLTUNE to generate a SQL profile.

It is really not possible to force the generation of a SQL profile? Did somebody have the same problem or did a similar observation?

Thanks a lot of any tip and have lot of fun with Oracle!

Chris
