Please - what is 'inventory database'? Some description or further definition is desired.

Many organizations have designed and implemented 'inventory' appplications to be run using Oracle's database engine. Are you inerested in Oracle's commercial version, someone else's commercial version, some organization's internal definition?

Besides, there are differing definitions of 'inventory', depending on the target organization. A retail company might be interested in 'the items in stock', a manufacturing company might be interested in 'the capital equipment', a telco in 'MDF assignment and provisioning', and a human resources company in 'skills'.
