Amen. The move from RBS to automatic undo with 9i has reduced my nuisance busywork by about 10%, YMMV.

This is one of many reasons why exporting/importing from 8i to 9i was much more productive than "migrating" in place ... the incentive to use the new stuff and discard the deprecated stuff is much higher when you are creating the new databases from scratch.
