No... it would probably be very unusual. You know... *really*, *really* unusual, like accidentally leaving your backup tape in the machine overnight... and that night being the one time in history when your office catches fire.
I think Richard Feynman had a few things to say about this sort of thing during the Challenger enquiry: one should never fool yourself into believing that an incredibly low probability of an incredibility high-impact event occurring means you are safe. The loss of a single archive, when you really, really need it is a *major* bummer. That it's unlikely due to archive compression is fair enough. But now do the *real* risk analysis here.
