For those databases you are foolishly appointed to admin I would recommend a backup paper tape! and would ask Al-gore to invent a federal regulation to inforce IT!

The only problem would be recycled shit from the Marians! Another not so nice solution:

Outsource all data contents to India: and ask them to memorize binary strings! have redo logs scripted or engraved on their brahmas or monks.

You would really have true redundancy.

All solutions provided here are the works of the infamous waco who invented the backup paper tape; and then the magnetic tape; and then cursed them to fall on the feet of great girlie dba's in the USA:

If you have no bulging forearm: you should never be trusted with handling tapes. Ask Cary millsap about accidents at his center of excellence!

Now a tape is useless unless it is TRIED and TRIED and TRIED not just backup your data and get shagged. You get it you big jumble of ....

Stats you provided only mean that American dba's are not worth their shit! Hire an indian; later you can fire her. Please disbar her from dba'aing or having babies.

An american dba like Fitzjarrel would be turned consultant and starts spewing bad advice on newsgroups. Or like the likes of Daniel Morgan: he turns to instruction and starts teaching his mistakes.

WOrse others like Don write books - 50 of them: Oracle claims that Oracle 10g can be mastered in 2 days. Now what are those books really talking about?

Worse start a baarf group to make things more of a mess.

Worse a developer-turned-dba breaks few eggs in the face of someone like David and cooks an omlet with Daniel's balls?

What is this world coming to?

Announcing the Lazania database! You are cordially invited to review and test .... Received on Fri Aug 06 2004 - 01:17:07 CDT
