The number of nodes in Japan is 128 not 120. And the problem of being limited to 8 nodes is operating system specific. So I suspect your 9i installation is on Solaris using Sun Cluster and Veritas.

And the limitation of 8 nodes was not an Oracle limitation ... it was, or is, a Veritas limitation.
