Increase frequency of log switches

At the moment i get archive redo logs generated that are 100meg in size which is slightly more frequent than 1 per day. As i'd like
to be able to reduce to a minimum the data lost in the event of major machine failure how can i increase the frequency of these
switches. I don't really see anywhere in the spfile where i set the maxsize of a redo log before a switch.



Am i missing something? so far google has not come up with this one.
