I try to install very old ;) oracle server 8.1.7 on quite new ;) Feodra Core 2. It has been taken me over 3 hours but still I can't start this wonderful universal installer. when I run ./runInstaller the message appears:

Initializing Java Virtual Machine from /usr/lib/jre118/bin/jre. Please wait...
[oracle_at_eger Disk1]$ /usr/lib/jre118/bin/../bin/i686/native_threads/jre: relocation error:
/usr/lib/jre118/bin/../lib/i686/native_threads/libjava.so: symbol __libc_wait, version GLIBC_2.0 not defined in file libc.so.6 with link time reference

I read there are many problems with new versions of time libraries. Maybe one of You solved this kind of problem ??

PS.
I've already tried to add
export LD_ASSUME_KERNEL=2.2.5 ( or 2.4.18 or 2.4.19) it doesn't help :(

thanks in advance
