You need to understand what the server is doing/waiting on during the 9 hour time frame. You can turn on the 10046 trace and get wait information then format that with a 9i version of tkprof. Do a google search on oracle wait interface or check out hotsos.com to see how to turn it on.

Compare the waits done on the 9 hour prod run versus waits done on the 1.5 test system run ... that should lead you somewhere. Let us know what you find. Received on Sun Jun 13 2004 - 18:32:29 CDT
