I was trying to install 10g in my laptop and failed with the messages below. Is there a way to get around this or I'll have to get Linux ES/AS 2.1, ES/AS 3 or UnitedLinux 1.0 to get it installed as mentioned in the installation documentation?

Thanks,

SP

[oracle_at_localhost Disk1]$ uname -a

Linux localhost.localdomain 2.4.20-8 #1 Thu Mar 13

17:54:28 EST 2003 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux

Now I run the installer and boom

oracle_at_localhost Disk1]$ ./runInstaller
