Er, no there aren't, actually.

9i on RH9 has a number of install issues, certainly, all of which are easily resolvable without access to Metalink.

Maybe you are thinking of Fedora? Or RHAS3?

Absolutely in those cases, you definitely require Metalink patches.

That would be why, of course, this page:

...has a rather nice little table that tells you precisely what versions work, what versions work with Metalink patches, and what versions don't work at all.

And RH9 and 9i don't need patches. Period.
