64 bit RHEL 3.0 ES / HP DL585 / SmartArray 5i - RAID driver issues (Opteron)

Has anyone encountered issues with attempting to install 64 bit RHEL 3.0 ES on AMD Opteron in an HP DL585 using the integrated SmartArray 5i RAID controller?

I've (indirectly) got my hands on an eval unit (clock is ticking). The 32 bit version of RHEL 3.0 ES installs without issue, as the controller driver is included in the distro.

Looking forward to posting a few comparisions on 9.2.0.4. There is no 10g version for AMD64 (x86-64) as of yet.
