> What's the dove-and-corn effect ?
Something I read in a psychology magazine.
Someone had a bunch of doves and at random intervals, corns were dropped into
the cages. After a few days he got the most silly behavior from the doves.
One was always hopping on one leg, one always turning round and stuff like that.
The trick was that the doves remembered what they were doing at the time
the corn fell down and made a connection, even if there was none. So they
continued doing what they were doing and, lo!, some time later another coen fell
down which convinced them even more to continue doing. A bit like praying for
sunny wheather.
Lots of Greetings!
