So basically you won't ever have remote administration capabilities! Maintaining Oracle through a firewall is not that difficult! The only thing that turns it into a big Pain in the Ass are incompetent firewall administrators, maintaining unreliable firewall configurations. Apart from that: works like a charm and we do it all the time, we even have firewalls between buildings of the same company ;-)
