Repositories

Has anyone experimented with combining the now proliferating number of repositories Oracle wants:

AMS
OMS
RAC And no doubt a few more I can't remember at the moment?

I am unhappy with the proliferation of SGAs and SYSTEM tablespaces.

Any thoughts?
