It even gets better. I was going around through several layers of portal stuff on the local intranet, then went out to portalcenter, where it asks me to log on. Wouldn't take my login. Eventually I got to the page where it sends you your password, which email of course isn't something I can get to from here. At least it says where it is sending it. So I start backing out, and wind up at where I was trying to get to... or was I? Since it was documentation, it turned out to be on a local machine. The only way to tell is to look at properties under File, since the pages don't display an address box. Anyways, some of the portal stuff has various administrator configurable timeouts for the cacheing, with various rules that vary depending on whether things are images or whatall. And amid all this I'm still logged onto otn and metalink. I think. No wait, had to login again. On metalink but not otn. Sheesh!
