is it possible to call a pl/sql stored procedure from a java stored procedure? (oracle 9.2.0.2.0)?

any direction/experience/war stories on this would be appreciated:

flame prevention:

[_] yes, i am researching this
[_] i have not done java stored procedures, but i am managing a project
where a programmer (that knows java but not pl/sql) wants to integrate some java code into an existing process
[_] yes, i am willing to read the manual if you provide a reference
[_] no, i'm not selling anything ;-)
