Especially since this *migration* you describe is absolutely not supported by Oracle and in the context of the OP quite a daft thing too - he's on Winnt with NTFS, remember?

So you wouldn't expect him to copy over his datafiles to a Linux box (that would be the different operating system), would you?

And the the 2 gig restriction wouldn't apply to any of the winnt decessants (or is that decessors?) Win2000/XP/2003 with NTFS, wich is if I'm not completly mislead the default for them.
