Uh huh. Let's see.

Of the 38 critical updates that were just offered to me for a fresh Win2000 Pro install, 25 state 'after installing you may have to restart your computer'. I have never yet encountered a "may have to" which didn't actually turn into a "you will have to".

Two were 'must be installed separately from any other update', which is a sure fire indication that a reboot will be compulsory.

So, 27/38ths of critical updates *do* require reboots.
