Two questions:

Which edition of 9iAS (Java, Standard or Enterprise)
Why 9iAS R2?

If possible, I'd recommend AS-10g (which is actually version 9.0.4/5) ... this has a much smoother and smaller footprint and generally feels cleaner. (Not surprising - it's basically V3 of the full package. ... 1.0.2.22.1, 9.0.2 + 3, 9.0.4 and it seem like they got it right, mostly.)
