I'm very glad to hear that.
in 9.2.0.4 (RHEL 3.0 ES)
we were blowing thru 4 GB of UNDO with an undo retention time = 300 (seconds) to load about 600 MB of data into IOTs.

oracle was not releasing any undo space.
