I've just re-read that and realised it sounds defensive. It wasn't meant to
be: I appreciate all comments, honestly. The point I was trying to make was
just that I've made lots of simplifications along the way with those
instructions, and that just happens to be one of them. Saving space,
addressing a particular audience, and a desire to get a basic set of
instructions that are guaranteed to work was what I was after, not
necessarily comprehensive subtlety.
