Given that dbv takes two key arguments, namely file=xxxx and blocksize=yyyy, it's going to be difficult to work with raw, because you're not going to be able to provide a file name for the first argument. But assuming you get past that hurdle somehow, 'yyyy' needs to be your actual db_block_size.
