The reason why crimes like this are happening is simple: it works.You
could saw it during 20th century many times. Terrorism just works. The
"political" wing of IRA got much more power in the NI government than
its political power, because had murderes from IRA on their side.
Murderers themself got an amnesty. Terrorist leaders like Gerry Addams
are touring world and are glorified as peacemakers. Top class
terrorist could even get an ultimate price for whole life killing
effort - Nobel's peace price. After forty years of killing innocents,
you just wash blood from your hands, make a few speeches about peace
and justice, and suddenly you will get invitation into the White House
and an appreciation from UN top ranks.
Even this time spanish voters just shit themself and did exactly what
terrorists wanted from them. And somewhere in some cave in Pakistan,
Usama is accepting congratulations and declaring Great Britain as the
next target.
