Hi Mark,
On a related note I once did a data migration with a company in Melbourne, OZ using MS Access to migrate the data from an Oracle database to an AS400. We created select into's in MS Access from Oracle to AS 400 using ODBC and then we created views in Oracle that looked like the AS400 tables so the select into's were very simple. I was amazed by the performance when we ran it on quite large amounts of data. MS Access i supposed just acted like a pipe between the two systems.
