Hi.
I was not able to get large memory support to work for 8.1.7 for patchsets 8.1.7.3.x nor 8.1.7.4.x. The /3GB boot option did work for me with 8.1.7.2.6.
Why don't you give this a try with 9.2.0.4 (possibly 9.2.0.4 patchset
3)?
That way, if you have an issue, you've already applied the latest
patchset on the latest version.
/3GB works fine with 9.2.0.4 with w2k adv server.
hth.
