I prefer NORMAL oses too (especially *BSD family...). But I have no choice - they (I mean our logistics and managers) gave me Windows 2003 Server (with a possibility to downgrade it) and Oracle 8i for win32 (no possibility to upgrade it or change the platform - license says it EXPLICITLY) and I'm forced to build a quite powerful DB server using this software (good old postgresql IS NOT ALLOWED) ant I'm trying to find suitable hardware...
