I wouldn't use NetApp for an Oracle database. I've only heard one guy say that it worked great. The only other times I heard that it worked great was in advertisements from NetApp. Everyone else I've ever heard talk about it had basically said it sucked for one of two reasons:

  1. Poor performance
  2. Network glitches killed the database since it find the database datafiles.
