Hello Tim,

What about system characteristics? What is required availability? Any other SLAs?

If this single machine solution? Is this just for server hardware or you'd like to use Sun storage as well?

If your company has procurement specialist, you may consult with him as well. He can check with Sun rep what is the best deal your company can get (after all specifications are collected)

Check with Sun - they can point you to some benchmarking documents.

For a big systems you can reserve time at a Sun lab and run tests for your configuration.

Regards,

  Ron
