Ah! Thanks. But that means your WCS is wrong.

The worst case scenario (given the posters actual description) is not up to the good backup, but up to the last piece of redo he has that is before a break in the redo stream. In his case, that's the contents of his ACTIVE or INACTIVE redo log, because he's worried about transactions in the online redo log that hasn't been archived yet (ie, the CURRENT one).
