Hello

Supposedly, Oracle 9R2 is able to do parallel dml on non-partitioned tables. The term is "intra-partition parallelism".

I could not find any detailed explanation of this feature in the Oracle documentation.

I would like to know

a) if it works automatically
b) if not, how to enable it
c) if yes, how to avoid it
d) what are the trade-offs and pitfalls of using it
e) if it can be used in a distributed environment (db-link)
f) how can I confirm that it is being used

Thanks
