Well, I count myself as one of the more regular and useful contributors here, and I *don't* have metalink access. What's true for me is, I usually think, likely true for at least a modicum of others.

I try not to assume anything, in any case.

Cart before horse. To be able to quote metalink rather presupposes one has access to it in the first place. Not true for me. Not true for everybody.

Disagree, actually, in the sense that cutting and pasting a link you can't follow is about as useful as using a sieve as a milk bottle. What was good was that he gave the answer, and then gave a link which those with Metalink access can follow for backup.

In the sense that you provide the answer with metalink merely as the follow-up, then fair enough.
