No. But when I last installed 9i on 5L about 4 months ago one thing that was very apparent is that there are essential libraries not installed by the default O/S installation. One I remember specifically was the math library ... there were others too as I recall. You might want to make sure the various pieces of the O/S required by Oracle are actually there.
