I havent worked for bloodworth in almost two years. I was never a junior anything. I was a mid. The team Im on now doesnt have junior, mid, senior titles. Im also the be all end all escalation point for all tuning issues(probably scares some of you who have seem my posts from a few years ago).

Im currently the lead performance analyst on a $30 million + contract where we are scaling a 500 GB instnace that gets an 80% nightly refresh to 30,000 users. Its a hybrid OLTP/OLAP system. If that matters. you can count on two hands the number of people in all these forums who have worked on something that large.

Most companies these days do background checks like that. So what? Its standard. I have to have something similiar to that when I get mortgage in a few months. go ahead and do it.

Dave moore wrote the utility book? Oh thats garbage. It is a copy and paste. go to otn and read the utility doc. There are alot of books like that. People on ORACLE-L hear me complain about all the lousy books on a regular basis. As I said since I have read MOST of them, I can tell what is good and what isn't. There is one of those little 100 page books from O'reilly on the data dictionary views. That is a copy and paste also.

Embarcadero is garbage. It is useless. I cant stand it. I dont like quests tuning tool either. I dont like Oracle Enterprise Manager. I dont like running servers on Windows. I can list restaurants I dont like either if you want. Im rather picky about food.

I post from alot of places. you gonna sue the library and the college I attend also?

its not libel if i dont like something. Its not libel if I can show why the tool is flawed... all these little tuning tools do is randomly put in hints and look for the best performing query. Completely useless.
