In the context of beta programs and opening of submissions? Since WHEN is the trade press the official channel to announce that? Gimme a break...

As for completely dismissing them, that's a personal option: been around for too long to trust ANYTHING of technical character that comes out in them. With very few exceptions.

Well, not really. Beta program handling is traditionally the province of marketing in IT. Not the results, but the registration and its promotion.

I'd settle for a download site where I can get ALL the doco in ONE download. This constant download of "only the pdf you want" from tahiti gives me the jibbies...
